The worlds of Kingdom Hearts are so limited! So good old Square and Disney decided to give us wonderfully useful Summons to show off other characters and also help out in fights.

Step 1: To get the Summons.
Talk to the Fairy Godmother inside the Mystical House. She'll say that she can rescue other strong hearts whose bodies were destroyed with their worlds. You need to find certain stones and give them to her to gain the summon. Some of them you can gain through story elements, like Genie and Tinkerbell, but others you have to look for, like Dumbo and Bambi.

Step 2: Summon Requirements.
In order to use a summon you have to have all three party members active for battle. Each of the summons, except for Tinkerbell, will arrive for a short period of time, based on how much MP you have. You can have them stay longer by equiping the Cheer ability.

SUMMON LIST:

Simba Simba

Acquire: You get the Earthshine from Leon while he is training in the secret waterway during your second trip to Traverse Town.


Simba attack Ability - Charge Up: Hold X and let the meter charge, when you release it, Simba will attack the enemies. The longer your charge, the more damage, but don't waste so much MP that he disappears.





Genie Genie

Acquire: Aladdin asks Genie to help Sora find Jasmine at the end of Agrabah. No work on your part at all! Nice huh?


Genie attack Ability - Showtime: This is really useful, as it attacks a ton of enemies at once. Just lock on when he appears and see all the Genie heads go to the enemies. Then press the Showtime button and presto! They're gone! Hopefully.




Dumbo Dumbo

Acquire: Dumbo is in a treasure chest in Monstro's Mouth. His chest is the highest one nearest the teeth. You need to have High Jump for this.


Dumbo attack Ability - Water gun: There's no real command for Dumbo. Once you summon him, you'll just jump on his back and start squirting things with water. It's quite fun.





Bambi Bambi

Acquire: You get the Naturespark once you've compeleted the 100 Acre Woods up to Pooh's Hunny Hunt, the game where you try to keep Pooh away. Then just take the Naturespark to the Fairy Godmother, and you can use Bambi.

Bambi gets items Ability - MP balls and items: Bambi makes more MP balls drop while he prances around everywhere. He also increases your chances of getting items from enemies you kill, the more you destroy, the more he gives you.


Tinkerbell Tinkerbell

Acquire: Peter Pan lends you Tinkerbell after you leave Neverland. It's a good thing, she's the most useful summon in the game.


Tinkerbell heals Ability - Healing: You'll learn to love her. She will heal you and your party while she is around. There isn't a way to really get rid of her, rather, she'll only disappear if you die, and right before she leaves, she'll revive you.




Mushu Mushu

Acquire: To get Mushu, you have to defeat Maleficent the dragon. Then you will automatically get the Fireglow. Then go back to the Mystical House in Traverse Town and have the Fairy Godmother revive him into a summon.

Mushu attack Ability - Fireballs: Once you summon Mushu, he becomes a gatling gun on your head. Just keep pounding X in different directions to hit as many enemies as you can.
