SECRET BOSS GUIDE

Okay, you've killed every Heartless out there, you've gone through every part of the worlds, and now you're just blood-thirsty. IS THERE NO CHALLENGE FOR YOU! IS THERE NOT A BOSS THAT REQUIRES TECHNIQUE AND SKILL? Actually, there are four. There are more out there, but that's Final Mix. Content with these, those Japanese who got the first version where cheated out of them, so enjoy.

Kurt Zisa
HP: 1500
EXP: 20,000

Description: This is the boss that was featured in the Kingdom Hearts Sweepstakes to have the winner's name in the game. Kurt Zisa, obviously, won. Out of the four secret bosses, he is by far the easiest, assuming you know what to do.

Location: After Hollow Bastion is sealed, go to Agrabah. Go to Aladdin's House, Carpet will look very excited. Agree to take a ride on him and you'll be attacked during the flight to face this enemy.

Prepare: I suggest around level 60-70 is good enough to take him on. Be sure to have a nice supply of Potions and Elixirs to help you out, as you'll have to rely on items a lot. Equip some of the faster power punching techniques, AND DEFINITELY EQUIP BLIZZARD and DODGE ROLL.

Strategy: Okay, there are three different phases to this boss. The first one is by far the most annoying and is the only one that really requires you to be on top of things. As soon as the battle starts, Kurt Zisa will seal your magic, so you can't heal. Unless you remember to use potions a lot, you're gonna die. You can't trust the others to heal you because their AI is simply not up to the job. But wait! Right before he seals your magic, you got a little window of time. Take that oppurtunity to summon Tinkerbell AS SOON AS THE BATTLE STARTS. If you have extra time, cast shield on yourself. During this phase you need to kill the arms of Kurt Zisa as he flails and flies about. Be careful. He will often cartwill about and if you get hit, it's a lot of damage taken. Dodge roll a lot to get out of the way and then jump up and hit him whenever he stops. Once you have succeeded in destroying the two arms, health balls will rain and he'll slump over and his head will pop up and strike like a snake. The only damage that counts in this battle is damage done to the head, so take this oppurtunity to heal yourself and beat the crap out of that golden cobra head.

Okay, time for phase two.The next thing he'll do is seal himself up in nice magic shield. You can't hit through it, but you can get rid of it with ice spells. If Tinkerbell is already gone by now, you can summon Dumbo and use his watergun to get ride of the shield. However, if not, use Blizzard. If you run out of magic, don't panic. Time is on your side here, and Kurt Zisa provides, he'll fly around and drop magic bubbles on the dunes. Those should be enough to hit him with another spell before he shifts direction. Once this is over, he'll fall over with HP balls again and you have to smack the Cobra head again.

These two phases repeat, so there are no more surprises. Just be careful, don't be reckless, and you'll be fine.

Reward: Not much. A lot of Experience is worth it though. You'll definitely be able to gain a level out of this. And now the desert is safe again.

Ice Titan
HP: 1500
EXP: 5000

Description: Hercules provided a lot of great enemies to model bosses over, and Square decided to include them. Ice Titan is one of the 5 Titans who were sealed away by Zeus only to be released by Hades and later defeated by Hercules. They're really fun. "FREEZE ZEUS!" As far as the actual fight, it's not too bad, assuming you have good healing and guard skills.

Location: This is the enemy you fight during the Gold Tournament which is made available to you after you defeat Hades Cup once.

Prepare: Definitely have both Guard and Dodge Roll Equiped. You also want to use the longest sword possible, if not the Ultima Sword, the Oblivion or something similar. Also equip all the Air Combo abilities you can.

Strategy: You can't smack this guy. He's just too damned tall. And he'll never stop hitting you with ice and snow. What can you do? First you need to know the attacks he uses. There are 4. Two are very similar but their differences is very important. Ice Titan will aim two different volleys of icicles in your direction. The big ones will break when they hit your Guard move, but the smaller ones will bounce back and hit the Ice Titan. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO INFLICT DAMAGE ON HIM. If you don't cast shield, the bigger icicles won't appear. You have to keep doing this until he falls to his knees, then you can jump and hit. The only problem with this strategy is the fact that the Ice Titan will throw a lot of other things at you. During the whole thing, Ice Titan will toss HUGE boulders of ice right at Sora. You have to dodge roll out of the way. After you have reduced more damage, he'll freeze the ground. To avoid this you have to go to the farthest corner away from him. If you get touched by the ice, you'll freeze in a nice ice cube and be victim to whatever comes your way. Best to avoid this. Good luck!

Reward: Nothing but Experience, but the good thing is you can fight this one over and over again to gain levels. Then you might be ready for the next secret bosses.

Phantom
HP: 1200
EXP: 9999

Description: This dude is no joke. He is DAMNED hard, and If you're not careful, you will be defeated over and over again. You have to have really good control in the air, and I would even suggest having someone around to help you with this boss. He can kill your buddies easily, and once they're killed by him, they never come back to help.

Location: After you seal Hollow Bastion, go to Neverland on the ship. Use Peter Pan and talk to Tinkerbell. She'll tell him that something is happening at the clock tower. Go there and you'll be confronted with the Phantom.

Prepare: You need to equip MP gift and also MP Rage. Also equip items that will replenish MP. Magic is the key in this battle. You might even want to short key the three main attack spells, Fire, Blizzard and Thunder. Just be sure you know how to heal yourself quick. Make sure your party is Donald and Peter, as Peter talks to Tink and Donald can use magic.

Strategy: Don't worry too much about your allies. They are just distractions away from you. If you look at the Phantom, there's a little heart where his Heartless symbol should be. It changes color according to what spell is effective against it. Red for fire, Blue for blizzard, Yellow for lightening. White is the color you want, that is the only time physical attacks are effective. You have to do enough damage in one of the spell elementals for this to work. Doesn't sound that hard right? Only problem is, your life is reliant on the clock on the Big Ben. When it starts ticking and runs one full cycle, one of your people will be dead and can't be revived, after killing Peter, it will come after Donald. What you can do is cast Stop on the clock hands to prevent it from killing off your friends. Keep at it, don't get distracted by the clock and you'll beat him soon enough.

Reward: A nice amount of EXP and the last Stop upgrade! Whoopee!
